Project Manager, Navajo Language Model | Part-Time/Contract
One Generation and Indigitize are seeking a skilled individual to lead an innovative project developing a Large Language Model (LLM) for Diné Bizaad (Navajo) to support language revitalization efforts. Strong candidates will have exceptional project management skills, demonstrated ability to coordinate diverse teams with multiple stakeholders, and experience working with Indigenous communities, particularly the Navajo Nation. Basic technical knowledge about LLMs is helpful. This role requires cultural sensitivity and exceptional communication skills. SkoCode (Let’s Go Code)/AmeriCorps Member Position | 9-month service, Several locations 📍
Indigitize is currently recruiting for Skocode/Americorps members to work with Indigenous students in the following communities: Albuquerque, NM; Gallup, NM; Espanola, NM; Window Rock, AZ; Chinle AZ; and the Rosebud and Pine Ridge reservations in South Dakota. SkoCode (Let's Go Code) is an AmeriCorps program housed under Indigitize with the goal of bringing meaningful computer science learning experiences to Indigenous students.
SkoCode members apply and are selected to complete a 8-10 month term of service, and they receive in-depth training on how to facilitate computer science learning experiences for K-12 students. We’ll provide you with tools, training, and support so you can create high quality, culturally relevant computer science learning experiences for young people through lessons, presentations and more!
SkoCode members are paid a total of $24,150 for their term of service.
Eligibility Requirements: Must be 17 or older, have a high school diploma or GED, and have access to reliable transportation. Positions will be based across New Mexico, Arizona, South Dakota, and Colorado. Please inquire to learn more about specific site locations in those states listed.
